The Database Management Paper is related to all the works related to database like how data is kept in database, how data is fetched from database, how data is handled etc. You will find nine questions in this paper out of which the first one is mandatory. Question 1 consists of 20 marks and is usually multiple choice questions where you should choose 1 answer for a given question out of 4 probable answers. Question 2 to question 9 is of 16 marks and you need to answer any 5 out of the 8. Topics like DBA, its responsibilities, two tier, three tier architecture, logical data independence and physical data independence, attributes – stored and derived, ER diagrams and model, insertion and deletion anomalies, Relation model and relational algebra are some topics that you find in the question paper. There are questions where you need to write SQL statements for the basic operations like insert, delete, update and reading operations where conditions are mentioned.
